SKF Hosted a Welcome Party for a Group of Happy Players

On Sunday afternoon, the SKF-sponsored teams were welcomed with dance and joy in a schoolyard.

Sunday is the official arrival day for Gothia Cup participants. Around 20 "Meet the world" teams arrived earlier thanks to SKF as a sponsor. The sponsored teams were welcomed on Sunday with speech, dance, and joy.

Gothia Cup's main sponsor is SKF, which this year sponsored around 20 "Meet the world" teams to participate in the tournament. These teams participated in football tournaments in their home countries and won, with the prize being SKF sponsoring their trip to the 2024 Gothia Cup.

On the sunny Sunday afternoon, all SKF teams were welcomed with a party at the ISGR school. Teams from Belgium, Brazil, Nigeria, Costa Rica, and more displayed their flags, sang, and danced around the schoolyard. The players proudly wore their hoodies with the printed message on the back, "Meet the world with SKF." It was a joyful group that was very grateful to be here at this year's Gothia Cup.
– I am very grateful for this opportunity we got from SKF, says Alana Dicecco from the American team Kensington KFC.

The teams also get a few days in the city before and after the tournament to explore the city a bit more. Alana from the USA is very excited about Gothia Cup, meeting new people, and the international matches.
– I am excited to play against Spain because they were very good when we had practice with them, she says.
