Gothia Cup presents Pantamera as new Official Partner
Pantamera is a new Official Partner for the Gothia Cup.
The parties agree on a collaboration with a focus on sustainability and recycling.
Pantamera is Returpack's well-known brand. They operate the only approved return system in Sweden for drink packaging with a deposit. Since the start in 1984, they have constantly developed the return system together with other actors. Now, it is decided that Pantamera will be a new Official Partner for the Gothia Cup.
– We work with two main strategies to increase the recycling of beverage packages: one is to influence attitudes and behaviors to recycle, the other is to increase accessibility to be able to recycle. Children, young adults and their parents and leaders are important target groups for us and by being part of the Gothia Cup we see a good opportunity to work with both of these parts, says Carita Classon, product manager at Pantamera.
The aim of the partnership is to increase awareness regarding handling of recycling and to work together with the Gothia Cup for a sustainable development, with a focus on global goal no. 13, to combat climate change.
The fact that Pantamera enters the Gothia Cup is a credit to the event as a tournament and brand.
– We like the long-term perspective and with the Gothia Cup's long tradition of offering a top-class football tournament, while at the same time carrying the basic philosophy of fair play and equal treatment principles, it feels absolutely right to enter into a collaboration with the Gothia Cup. We’re really looking forward to our collaboration, says Carita Classon.
The partnership gives Pantamera the opportunity to reach more football-playing children and youth, leaders and parents.
– Hopefully many more teams and clubs will see what a chance and opportunity it is to earn extra money through recycling, while making a really good environmental contribution, says the product manager.
Gothia Cup's director of sales, Thomas Anderson, is looking forward to the collaboration with Pantamera and sees great opportunities with the partnership.
– We’re extremely proud of the partnership with Pantamera, a collaboration that is completely in line with our sustainability strategy for a more sustainable tournament. We want to make it easier for our guests to make a contribution to the environment by recycling their packages, while we together with Pantamera want to educate our young people in this important issue, says Thomas Anderson.
