Boo FF won the G15 final in great fashion
During the afternoon, the unstoppable Boo FF from Sweden faced off against Northumberland County Schools FA from England in the G15 final at SKF Arena.
About halfway through the first half, Klara Ahnberg was set free in the penalty area. She seized the opportunity and calmly placed the ball low into the goalkeeper's right corner, giving Boo FF the lead. Shortly after, the Swedes doubled their lead with a beautiful free-kick goal by Mira Kempe.
In the second half, Boo FF continued on their winning path as Ahnberg once again found the back of the net. This time, she broke through alone on the right wing and skillfully curled the ball into the net from a tight angle.
– I've been practicing shooting from that position a lot, she said after the match.
Ahnberg was awarded the title of "The Most Valuable Player of the Match" due to her two goals, an honor she won't forget anytime soon.
– It's the fourth time I've played at Gothia, so it feels amazing to finally stand here as a winner with this fantastic team," she said.
Unfortunately, there won't be much celebration tonight, but as soon as the team returns to Stockholm, the coach has promised festivities to honor the newly crowned Gothia champions.
– They have promised us both a champions party and tattoos with Gothia Cup motifs, Ahnberg concluded.
