ADA 2015 won all their group stage matches
"We are going to make it to the final and destroy the opponents": says Portuguese player Adérito Ebo.
The Portuguese team ADA 2015 has had a flawless group stage. Now they await the A playoffs.
- We are, of course, here to win, says Adérito Ebo, a player for the Portuguese B17 team.
On Wednesday, the last group stage matches in Gothia Cup were played. In the B17 category, Portuguese ADA 2015 played against Åkersberga FC from Sweden at Överåsvallen. The match ended in a 2-0 victory for the Portuguese team.
- I am satisfied with our performance. It was a well-deserved win, and I think our team was clearly the better one throughout the match, says Adérito Ebo.
After three wins out of three possible for ADA 2015, the A-playoffs await. Even though their impressive performances, they are not satisfied yet.
- Our goal is to win everything. With good concentration and good team spirit, I believe we can do it, says Tiago Fernandes, a player for ADA 2015.
In the later stages of the tournament, matches come thick and fast, and if you want to reach the final, you must be ready to play three matches a day. A strategy for how to tackle such a challenge is necessary.
- We go to bed early in the evenings to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, we focus on eating good food and relaxing between matches, says Adérito Ebo.
This is the first time the boys from ADA 2015 are participating in Gothia Cup. For Tiago Fernandes, the week has been valuable:
- It has been fun days. I like the country, I like the city, and I like the people. Additionally, it's exciting to meet teams from other countries, he says.
